Kaaveriya kaaveriya

Kaaveriya kaaveriya from Desam is the dubbed version of Saawarya saawarya from Swades, which was released back in 2004. The album had some beautiful songs composed by A.R.Rahman and do I have to say more? In this my personal favorites were Malai mega vanna and the song that I'm going to present here today. Fortunately, I was very lucky that I didn't have to search for long before I got my hands on the karaoke track for this number. So without waiting further, I had a go at singing this number!

Sillendru theepori ondru...

We have songs which are utterly serene and calms the mind, then we have songs with make the adrenaline rush. The latter would be a suitable label for the song I'm sharing with you today. Sillendru theepori a song from the movie Thiththikudhe, which has the music tuned by "the king of melodies" Vidyasagar!

And back to the old golden hits.

Aadaludan paadalai kaettu is indeed an energetic and uptempo number. In many instances I've been left awestruck after listening to numbers belonging to the 60's and thereabouts. They way the singers were able to adapt their voices to dissimilar genres is very much noteworthy (talking about T.M. Soundarajan especially!). Have been hooked on this one for a while now and therefore decided to give it a shot, though as a solo.

Finally entering the world of blogging...

After spending some time checking out fellow bloggers' blogs, I eventually decided to commence blogging myself. So here I am! I intend to use my blog as a platform on which I will upload and share some of my own recordings, with the hope of receiving some valuable feedback.
